How do you motivate yourself? This is a question I have struggled with many times over the last few years. When I am not motivated, exercise and healthy eating often fall to the wayside. But even when I have motivation, often it is not the most lasting. Why is that? Well, even though I may say I want to lose weight and get in shape to be healthier, often I am more concerned with looking good. This is great short term motivation (as in I want to look good for a current boyfriend/to impress someone, etc), but it doesn't have any lasting power.
So I think that the most important thing for me in the coming week or two is to get motivated. But whatever motivation I find, it needs to be healthy and have lasting power to motivate me.
